When I ask Helen how she discovered that a career as an image consultant was for her she replies, in her usual effervescent manner, “Completely unintentional actually! I was half way through a financial planning degree and discovered I was so not into that!” She laughs, ”I saw people being overlooked for promotion and It amazed me how very powerful perceptions are. ”

She has been affectionately called ‘The Image Muse’ because of her caring nature and magic expertise in her field. I ask her what the best thing about being an image consultant is.

“It’s such a privilege to be part of someone’s journey. The best thing is watching their confidence and self-esteem increase. This work affects all areas of a person’s life. How exciting is it when you get a bargain especially in this season, and the first thing you want to do is tell a friend.  Christmas shopping is always a time of mahem, tackling the crowds, long ques and that dreaded feeling with each purchase you are getting that much poorer.
